Crumpet to Crackers grew out of my love of honest storytelling. The funny bits. The painful bits. The absurd bits. The bits we usually hide. It’s a cabaret style show shaped by observation, character, song and lived experience. Warm, cheeky, sharp eyed and deeply human.
I’ve spent decades working across performance, music, workshops and community creativity, including founding and leading Sing Sisters. My work has always been about helping people feel something real. Sometimes that comes through laughter. Sometimes through recognition. Sometimes through a lyric that lands exactly where it needs to.
On stage I bring voice, timing, heart and a strong point of view. I’m interested in what sits underneath everyday life. The contradictions, the survival, the ridiculousness, the tenderness, and the strange strength people carry without even knowing it.
Crumpet to Crackers is entertainment with substance. Personal, playful and knowingly imperfect. It invites audiences to laugh, reflect and feel less alone.
